The Third Week
Their first deed in the third
week was to open their eyes. I've got another pair of Sinatra's! I had another
trip to the vet, but it seems that Glee is really oké and that the milk she
sometimes gives up is not part of a bigger problem. At the moment I don't care:
keeping her alive is my first priority and whether she'll be a show- / breeddog
is another matter. If for some reason that wouldn't be possible, I'd keep her
anyway :-) Henbane is developing a great friendship with me (Glee is still
too small to want to spent energy on anything but eating) and makes me her
playmate. I didn't think it possible but she really looks at me! I always
thought it took some days for them to be able to focus, but she looks at me all
the same and even wiggles her tail. Non of Fescue's pups did that when they were
two weeks old (or I didn't see). Since August 13 she takes everything she can
find in her mouth and Tiro died because of that so I'm taking no chances: there
is nothing in the crate but the pups. The following pictures are from before
that.

First
some pictures of Rune and Larousse: isn't he cute?

My grandma used to say "Yes,
when he is fast asleep" and so they are ...

Henbane on the move.

Henbane pushing against my hand. (Not me holding her!)

Henbane wants to play and tries to bite my hand.

Laying her head in
my hands to go to sleep - playtime at this age is a very short time!

I have
removed my hand so she sets out to find a nice sleepingspot.

Glee on my chest.

Hungry!

We wanna play ...

And another feed.

First
time in the livingroom. I'm surprised at Larousse and Rune: they are so gentle!
Both of them want to play 'mom and dad' and when they get the chance they lie
close to the pups. I always thought Tryfan was exceptional ....

Rune stuck his head
under the shower.
